Spellings are given out on a Tuesday and to be learnt at home. The class are tested on Monday in their English lesson.

Reading books are changed every Friday, but it is vital that your child brings their reading book and record EVERY day to school so that an adult can listen to them read.

Year 4s have swimming on a Wednesday, and PE on a Thursday.

Year 3s have PE on a Wednesday and Thursday.

Please ensure that your child has PE kit suitable for indoors, and outdoor weather.

Abacus maths - activities are regularly set. Please check each week, and ask for your child's login details if you have forgotten them.

Welcome to class 3/4M! Last term, we were working hard on our Romans Topic, where we not only learnt lots of interesting facts about the Romans, but made a typical Roman drink, a Roman helmet and reenacted a Boudicca battle!

In Science, we looked at how plants grow and we are eagerly growing avocado seeds in different conditions. Our school trip to Tropical World allowed us to see lots of mysterious and exotic plants! In English, we wrote instruction texts about how to plant a tulip bulb, and took part in some collaborative learning with Class RT (pictures to follow soon!).

We also visited a Synagogue as part of our Judaism and life of Moses study in RE. We learnt lots of wonderful and fascinating facts about Jewish people and their synagogues.

Spring 1

Our new topic up until February half term will be India. We will be researching about India's climate, population, geographical features, lifestyle and religion (Hinduism in RE). The class will be doing some Yoga in PE, as well as Bhangra dancing in their weekly 'Sweep' sessions to compliment their learning within the India Topic.

If you have any questions or worries, please don't hesitate to speak to a member of staff.
